City of the Sun
It did not matter how often he saw her, but every time his heart soared anew.
Faramir believed Minas Tirith to be the fairest of all cities. His longfathers had built her to be both beautiful and strong.
How she gleamed in the clear light of day! Her changing hues reflected times and seasons, white, or grey, gold or pink depending on Anor’s whims.
Small wonder the City had originally been named for her, ere the Dark Lord assailed her. Now she could bask again in Anor’s rays. The City of the Guard was again the City of the Sun.
