Honey
So sweet, so delicious;. it slips down my throat like nectar. Do even the mighty Valar have such food as I?
My bees are wise beyond mortal kenning. They know the flowers, which produce the richest yields and where to find them. They fill their hives with liquid gold for my pleasure.
A man though, has muted senses. He perceives little and smells and tastes less. I shed my skin that I may taste the keener and follow a scent upon the wind. I can pursue the bees as they garner their treasure. To man or bear, honey tastes sweet.
