May Teitho Challenge

Teitho: May challenge "Yes, I do"
Fri Apr 25, 2014 2:33 am (PDT) . Posted by: mirach_ravaia
Yes, I do. Because May is the time of love and weddings, this month's topic is an answer that is heard often in this setting. But what is the question?

It can be the classical "Will you marry me?". There are many couples getting engaged or married that you can write about: Aragorn and Arwen, Arathorn and Gilraen, Thranduil and his mysterious wife, Faramir and Eowyn, maybe even Legolas and some even more mysterious lady...

But "Yes, I do" can be an agreement with anything else, too. "Do you like apples?" "Do you have some arrows left?" It can be an answer to many questions, with only one thing in common - someone confirms something. Maybe exactly that confirmation is important for the main character of your story. It could be an answer that he or she has been waiting for for a long time, or an answer that will cause a major change in his or hers life.

The deadline for this challenge is May 25th. If you need an extension, let us know! (We do not bite.)

For writers: send your stories to As usually, the contest is anonymous and the story can't be posted publicaly until the results of the challenge are announced. Aragorn or Legolas don't have to be main characters, but at least one of them must be mentioned in the story.

For artists: Submit your picture into the Teitho gallery folder of Arda-Inspired at deviantArt. The picture should be new, drawn specifically for the challenge. State that you are submitting it to the contest in the artist's comments.

P.S. No, this theme is not a coincidence. I'm getting married on May 31st, and I would like to read some stories about weddings... (But you don't have to write only about weddings, of course.) So, for obvious reasons, if you ask for extension, posting of stories around that time might be delayed for a few days. Thank you for understanding, and

happy writing and drawing!
