Aragorn and Faramir made their way through the marketplace, passing stalls where the merchants from Harad touted their wares.
Faramir espied some pretty combs inlaid with mother of pearl upon one of the stalls. “Éowyn would like those,” he said.
“Careful, my friend,” Aragorn cautioned.
Suddenly the two men were surrounded at all sides by merchants clutching baskets of their wares and holding out items for inspection. “Buy our wares, Esteemed King, Lord Steward!” they cried. “Buy, buy, buy!”
King and Steward had never flinched in battle from the warriors of Harad. From her merchants they beat a hasty retreat.
