“My cook has prepared delicacies from Harad for you to sample,” said the ambassador.
Faramir studied the assortment of brightly coloured delicacies. They looked delicious. He piled his plate high as Aragorn tried vainly to catch his eye.
The Steward tasted a mouthful of a scarlet concoction ;choked and pulled a face.
“Eat some bread,” Aragorn advised.
“We call that dragon fire, it is a kind of curry”, said the ambassador. “You like it not?”
“Your foods show the strength of your people,” said Faramir.
The Ambassador laughed. “It seems our foods prevail against you when our weapons could not!”
