The swords were wooden, but the combatants fought as if in deadly earnest, showing both skill and strength.

Arwen and Faramir stood watching the bout, calling out encouragement.

When Aragorn’s sword flew from his hand, Eldarion handed it back to his sire. When the King won the bout, they embraced.

“Another?” asked Aragorn. “It is your turn to beat me, son!”

“Not for a few years yet.” Eldarion grinned broadly. “On guard!”

Faramir turned to the Queen. "Fair- minded and bold alike. Those two are certainly cut from the same mould.”

“Who could fail to love them both?” Arwen replied.
