Six years ago it had seemed that there was nought save death. Boromir was slain, the enemy were fast approaching while his father had sent him forth unblessed.

Today he is Steward of Gondor and Prince of Ithilien, a loved and loving husband and father. The land is at peace and ruled by the King returned, who loves him and esteems him, as his own father never did. He too loves and esteems his lord.

Faramir greets this spring morning joyfully. Six years ago, he could never have imagined that the future would hold, not death but life in abundance.
