A Christmas Prayer
God of every tribe and nation,
Ruler o'er each land and clime
Hear us, as we pray for peace now,
Pray for peace this Christmastime
Heal the sins that so divide us;
Barriers of hate and greed.
Teach us how to love each other,
Seeing past the race and creed.
Show us we are all your children.
Rich and poor, black ,brown or white.
Teach us how to share your bounty.
Lead us on towards your Light.
In your mercy, show us wisdom
So our wars and quarrels cease.
Teach us how we need each other.
Then at last we'll know your Peace.
