Midsummer nights held a special magic for Aragorn.  He had plighted his troth to Arwen at Midsummer.  They had later sealed their wedding vows on Midsummer Night.

He would walk with Arwen in the gardens under a full moon, though his Queen preferred the nights when the moon hid and brilliant stars blazed unrivalled in the dark heavens.

Tonight they strolled in the court of the Fountain. The White Tree shone silver, illuminated in the moonlight. Surely even Nimloth herself could not have gleamed with more lustre? Here lay Gondor’s heart, a reminder both of past glories and future hopes.
