Sprawled on the bed, Aragorn slumbered peacefully with their child clasped in his arms. Beside him lay Eldarion’s discarded storybook.

How noble were her husband’s features in repose! The broad brow and carven cheekbones now smoothed out by sleep, while the warm lips smiled as if lost in some pleasant dream.

How like his father was their son, who lay snuggled against his father’s heart, his young face as noble and as fair. The candlelight cast a soft glow on the features of the two Arwen loved most dearly. She took up the candle and silently crept from the chamber.
