A trip to Blackpool
I guess I've been wishing to see Blackpool Illuminations for over 40 years now but it never happened until yesterday when my cousin and her husband took me.
We witnessed a lovely sunset on the way there. On arrival we had a snack at McDonalds then went to view the lights and visit a Christmas market on the Prom.I bought some chocolates and a light up fairy. It was chilly but much better than last week.
The lights were amazing. I especially liked the walk in baubles and the display of children's literature. There were also some stained glass window art nouveau panels I liked.
I really enjoyed it but was a bit preoccupied as a dear friend was having major surgery and my cousin had toothache. I'm really happy I got to go though.
My photos are a mixture as I'm unused to my new camera and we were in the car most of the time moving.
My Mum used to talk about going in her youth but said it all became a blur after a while.
